How I Fit Everything I Could Possibly Need into One Toiletries Bag For Traveling

When someone says vacation, most of us are all in right? Leading up to the trip we are so excited and can’t wait and then… time to pack comes. All of the happiness can fade away with thinking about what you need to take and how long it might take to pack. I want to let you in on my little secret on how I decrease the amount of time it takes me to pack and how I increase the happy feelings to be on vacation again.

The best, best thing I could have ever done for myself is putting together a toiletries bag that stays ready to go at any moment. Now whenever I pack, I don’t even have to run through my skincare or shower routine to round up everything I need, it’s already packed and ready. I love it because then I can focus more time on picking out my outfits and just being excited. Keep reading below to find out just exactly my toiletries bag is set up.

I store my items inside the small size packing cube. I love it because it zips open so much so it’s easier to see all of my products instead of having to dig. Inside my bag, I have more bags… lol! This way each group can have their own separate home and it’s easier to grab, for example, all of my skincare items because they’re all in their own place. It’s also very important to mention that the best way to really save space with your toiletries is to always, always, always, use the travel size of products. For two reasons, one, it’s important to have your toiletries bag with you during travel in case your suitcase gets lost and two, because that is plenty of product for a trip If you’re staying longer, it is worth it to just buy your products at your destination (especially with the way TSA is set up). With products that do not come in travel size, I use TSA-approved travel size silicone bottles.

Here is a breakdown of each bag:

Skin Care Bag

This is where I store my cleanser, toner, facial spray, moisturizer, and micellar water. The Container Store has every possible travel size container to store any product.

Oral Hygiene Bag

This is where I store my toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and lip balm. I found these toothbrush covers on Amazon and love them so much because they’re not as bulky as those holders that your entire toothbrush fits in.

Shower Bag

This is where I store my shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, and lotion. I used a slightly larger silicone bottle for my lotion because I definitely use more on my trip than the other products.

Extras Bag

My extra bag is where I store anything I use during my routine. This includes my compact mirror, a headband, and cotton rounds.

Emergency Bag

My emergency bag sits in the back zippered pocket of my packing cube. This is where I store any feminine products, masks, Vitamin C supplement packets, and a sleeping mask (for those red eye flights, you know what I mean).

Along with my categorized bags, I have a few loose items that I might need quickly during travel. These include my deodorant, bar soap, Q tip container, hand sanitizer, perfume, hair tie and bobby pin holder, and my vitamin organizer. I hope you find this to be such a life-saver for traveling, it helps me so much and I feel like I enjoy trips way more since I have done this for myself. You will seriously look like a professional traveler 🤍
